“Praise the Lord! Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.”   ps 106:1 nkjv

January 10, 2023

For His mercy endures forever Twenty-six times, the Psalmist says in Psalm 136 “For His mercy endures forever.” There are 26 verses in Psalm 136, which begin with exalting Yahweh and declaring His goodness. The Psalmist then credits Yahweh with great wonders, and who by His wisdom made the heavens and the earth above the waters, and then His creation of the Heavenly bodies, sun, moon, and stars.

In the Stone Edition of the Tanach, second edition, on page 1555, the caption for Psalm 136 says “A song of God’s creation and rulership of the world in general and Israel in particular.”

It seems that Yahweh’s rulership concerning the world in general and Israel in particular is well defined in verses 10 through 22; here the Psalmist references the Exodus narrative of the deliverance of the Children of Israel from Egyptian slavery, and their wilderness experiences thereafter. This particular episode of Israel’s history is a miraculous story, of one impossible experience, resolved by Yahweh’s mercy, followed by another seemingly impossible dilimina, also resolved by Yahweh’s mercy… not to mention the Red Sea being divided and Israel crossing and Pharaoh’s destruction as His army pursued them. I think it may be a foretelling of the later days deliverance of the Faithful believers who will be relentlessly persecuted by the anti-Christ system powers at the end of time… such as this:

“So the serpent spewed water out of his mouth like a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away by the flood. 16 But the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed up the flood which the dragon had spewed out of his mouth. 17 And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.” rev 12:15-17

This is another time to proclaim: “Praise the Lord! Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.”

I have spent a great deal of time reading and studying the Prophecies and Scriptural references to the last days and how the Saints will be impacted [persecuted] by the wicked powers of the coming “Beast system.” As I study the current times and the “handwriting on the wall,” that points to the intentions of the evil cabal that continues to tighten its Marxist noose around our society, I am troubled by those who do not have a clue as to what is happening… and I am also troubled by the complacency of so many who call themselves “Christians,” who rush ahead into the falling darkness that will encapsulate them in deception and bondage. They just don’t act like it can happen to them… they are too busy on social media and believe they are living the prosperity gospel.

I think the above Tanach reference to, “A song of God’s creation and rulership of the world in general and Israel in particular...” perfectly defines two types of people: One, being those escaping with the “woman” as the dragon [beast system] tries to devour them (I will call them Israel in particular), and the other being the “haven't got a clue” people of (the world in general, including many nominal “Christians”), who will be snared by the wicked intentions of the coming Beast system… just over the horizon. This divine provision to escape with the “woman” is Yahweh’s doings [NOT the rapture]. I pray you will pursue the Biblical pathways to your safety and deliverance. This is NOT a get out of jail free idea; it is a way to be filled with the power of the Word of Yahweh and having His Holy Spirit guide us. We are not promised to escape hardships and difficult times… we are promised He will walk with us “through the valley of the shadow of Death.” That walk of course, is His Way, nor our own.

Shalom… John
