January 17, 2023 The Sovereign and Holy essence of Yahweh is seldom taught and/or preached to people by church leaders today… Our relationship with a Holy God, who is the Creator, supreme king, and ruler of all that is in heaven, on earth, and in the earth below, is given little consideration in the thinking of people today. Here are David’s thoughts on the issue: "The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul; The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple; 8 The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes; 9 The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; The judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. 10 More to be desired are they than gold, Yea, than much fine gold; Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. 11 Moreover by them Your servant is warned, And in keeping them there is great reward.” Ps 19:7-11 nkjv (emphasis by the author) How many people do you think understand and conform their obedience to what David is saying in this Psalm? Are they “keeping them” to obtain a great reward? David opens Psalm 19 with this acknowledgment of almighty GOD… “The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork. 2 Day unto day utters speech, And night unto night reveals knowledge. 3 There is no speech nor language Where their voice is not heard. 4 Their line has gone out through all the earth, And their words to the end of the world.” Ps 19:1-4 nkjv The Apostle Paul, recognizing the above, explains in his letter to the Romans: “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. I think we live in a world that disputes, “The law of the LORD as perfect; The testimony of the LORD as sure; The statutes of the LORD as right; The commandment of the LORD as pure; The fear of the LORD as clean; and, The judgment of the LORD being true and righteous in any form.” I don’t think people, except for a very few, really know about these things. They have been deceived by watered down preaching and they have been presented with “another Jesus,” who is supposed to be the true WORD in the flesh, and who should be represented by the same. 2 cor 11:3-5 nkjv Paul tells us further in Romans chapter 1, even more of the fallen nature of man and his ungodly practices leading to perdition... “Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.” rom 1:24-25 nkjv Please read Romans 1:26-32, and compare those people to our world today… they are one and the same. The Bible is clear concerning the wages of sin (death/hell); listen to David’s conclusion of Psalm 19: “Who can understand his errors? Cleanse me from secret faults. 13 Keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins; Let them not have dominion over me. Then I shall be blameless, And I shall be innocent of great transgression. 14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.” ps 19:12-14 nkjv Let us hold fast to the real Yeshua… embed the WORD in our hearts, confess its truth daily, and allow the Holy Spirit to empower our ears and eyes to see and walk in the Spirit… rejecting the ways of the world, and embrace the truth of Yahweh’s Word… for the “kingdom” is within us. Lk 17:21 nkjv Shalom… John |
