“Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, For this is man’s all.” ecc 12:13 nkjv |

The above scripture is said to be the words of King Solomon… whom the Bible calls the wisest man of all [except, of course, for Yeshua (Jesus)]; In the next verse he says: “For God will bring every work into judgment, Including every secret thing, Whether good or evil.” ecc 12:14 nkjv Solomon, who’s life seems a paradox, is noted for having sought out all kinds of knowledge, pleasure, extravagant indulgence, and experience… His wealth and fame was unfathomable; I think I read where he had 700 wives… In fact, he did everything Yahweh told him NOT to do. He especially did wickedly by building altars and special pillars of pagan deities of the forbidden wives he took. The Bible says: “3 And he had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines; and his wives turned away his heart. 4 For it was so, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned his heart after other gods; and his heart was not loyal to the Lord his God, as was the heart of his father David.” 1 ki 11:3-4 nkjv It is seemingly strange how he could have strayed so far from his father King David who was continually seeking Yahweh’s heart… Luke writes in Acts: “And when He had removed him [King Saul], He raised up for them David as king, to whom also He gave testimony and said, ‘I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all My will.’” acts 13:22 nkjv As a note of interest, there were very few righteous (somewhat) kings in Judah’s line [Southern Kingdom] (20), and Israel’s line [Northern Kingdom] (19)… the national mood and condition of Judah and Israel in those times can be observed by the recorded acts of these “kings.” I think our times can be observed along the same lines… evil kings bring fear, sorrow, and moral decline; and good kings bring confidence and a more stable society. This is true in a general sense throughout history in all nations. But it is especially pertinent regarding nations [people] who have had times of upright spiritual societies… i.e., Germany once had a fairly religious and spiritual society [coming out of the Dark Ages], in times of reformation with Martin Luther, and by Adolph Hitler’s time, it descended into darkness and has not recovered. In fact, Europe has a dark history of religious turmoil, and is generally agnostic. Tragically, our nation seems to be following suit. My point is this, whatever a society seeks, it will find… spiritual dissonance is bliss… but along with it comes the “unexpected consequences.” Paul makes this clear in his letter to the Romans: “18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.” rom 1:18-22 nkjv I have doubts that these societies started out saying… “lets start a fight with Yahweh, show Him we will do our own thing.” Although, Nimrod is said to have taken this route [think tower of Babel]. I think most other defunct societies were influenced by the wicked one [who comes to kill, steal and destroy] because they did not “fear Yahweh [God] and keep His commandments.” Remember, such are the words of Solomon in the heading of this message. And, as Paul writes above, the “ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness.” Does any of this remind you of the “Days of Noah?” It seems to have overtones of Yeshua’s last days description in His Olivet Discourse in Matthew 24. You may want to read that chapter and give serious thought to the hour we live in… time is winding down. It seems to be a natural progression from light to darkness when men do not fear Yahweh and obey His eternal dictates… Yahweh always gets to make the rules, and men can only make choices. The evil one comes in to convince men that they can make their own rules. A classic example is our mess today in our own nation where the US Constitution is being shredded by Marxist liberals… they don’t want to revise the Constitution, they claim to fully destroy it. Where does this leave us? We have two problems, first, we are losing our national stability and a just legal system; second, as believers, we are being encircled by evil that intends to destroy us… because of our connection to Yahweh and Israel. Similar conditions prevail in Israel, and the possible Ezekiel war looms on the horizon… have you noticed the international communities [and our own government’s] vitriolic abuse of Israel trying to defend itself? To be honest, I never thought I would see the day when all this turmoil and evil would come. Isiah writes: “In transgressing and lying against the Lord, And departing from our God, Speaking oppression and revolt, Conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood. 14 Justice is turned back, And righteousness stands afar off; For truth is fallen in the street, And equity cannot enter. 15 So truth fails, And he who departs from evil makes himself a prey. Then the Lord saw it, and it displeased Him That there was no justice.” isa 59:13-15 nkjv If you read chapter 59 in whole you will see the way Yahweh deals with “the ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness.” And yes, one other thing Isaiah said: “A highway shall be there, and a road, And it shall be called the Highway of Holiness. The unclean shall not pass over it, But it shall be for others. Whoever walks the road, although a fool, Shall not go astray.” isa 35:8 nkjv We must choose carefully the way [highway] we walk; unless its the Highway of Holiness, we will perish. Shalom, John |
“Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, That it cannot save; Nor His ear heavy, That it cannot hear. 2 But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, So that He will not hear.” is 59:1-2 nkjv |
