“There is no wisdom or understanding Or counsel against the Lord.”  prov 21:30 nkjv

February 25, 2025

What are the implications of the above Scripture… Do you believe it?   What pleases Yahweh [GOD]? I think the simple act of respect unto His opinion is one thing, since He alone gets to make the rules and we can only make the choices… to agree [obey], or go our own way disregarding His counsel, wisdom, and understanding.  Proverbs 9:10 nkjv, says: “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” The writer of Hebrews also tells us:

“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”   Also, concerning faith, Hebrews tells us: “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” heb 11:1 nkjv   Now, the Bible also tells us: “ For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.” rom 12:3 nkjv

If I may suggest, “faith” is like an investment… where you put it really matters; will you turst Yahweh's yields more than you own abilities? How do you think these words of Yeshua relate to this idea?

"Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. 25 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. 26 For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?” mat 16:24-26 nkjv

We are so pressured by the things of this life, its pleasures, profits, excitements, possibilities and more… that we can be neglectful to “seek the counsel of the LORD,” when making our plans and choices. And, if our measure of faith is not properly invested into the “plans Yahweh has for us,” [jer 29:11 nkjv],   then our lifetime hopes and dreams can one day fly away like smoke in the wind. You see, I think the devil’s work is to swindle us and lead us into bad investments… you think. Not only do we all have a measure of faith, we all have a measure of time. Faith and time are inextricably connected. The devil is determined to rob us of both. However, in the end, only the substance wrought by faith, invested with the wisdom of Yahweh’s counsel, has any eternal value. And, its dividends and return on investment are unmeasurable.

While studying my Bible this past week, I also read the latest newsletter of Lion and Lamb Ministries… and therein, I read a very good article that Monte had written about much of the above conversation… I think you really would be “investing” good time if you take a few minutes to read it; perhaps “study it” would be a better choice. Let me know what you think of it. It is titled, "Is That All There Is?"

Shalom, John
