"To do righteousness and justice Is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.”prov 21:3 nkjv

“Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.” 1 Pet 1:23 kjv

Notice the distinction between “corruptible seed and incorruptible seed,” it is a distinction that needs to be given serious study by all who claim to be “saved.” The difference is life and death. It is the underlying basis for our identity for being named among the brethren among whom Yeshua [Jesus] is the Firstborn (rom 8:29 nkjv).

According to the Biblical “Law of the Harvest,” everything produces after its own kind. Good seed, good fruit; bad seed, bad fruit… no exceptions, unless the seed has been “corrupted.” This corruption was started by the work of the serpent in the Garden of Eden. Adam’s seed became the basis for all following mankind to fall short of being able to be named among the brethren of the Firstborn. Of course, Yahweh provided the “seed of the woman,” our Savior Yeshua, the Word of God that became flesh, and Him being the “incorruptible” seed, if sown in good soil of our hearts, will bring forth righteousness from our lives… the plan Yahweh had from the beginning. But the relentless effort, of the serpent, has not given up trying to corrupt the fruit of the good seed.

“They stumble, being disobedient to the word, to which they also were appointed. 9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 10 who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.” 1 pet 2:8-10 nkjv

Notice that those who stumble, “being disobedient to the Word, to which they also were appointed…” Not to be named among the chosen special people.

We are living in turbulent and deceptive times, and there are many who claim to be believers, who are “being disobedient to the Word.” I think that when “believers,” who choose to walk in disobedience to the Word “to which they were appointed,” that they will become like the unfruitful fig tree that Yeshua cursed in Mark 11:20-21 nkjv.

The apostle Paul told Timothy, “Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.”” 2 tim 2:19 nkjv

I want to keep encouraging those of us who are “born again,” in the Messiah Yeshua… being a chosen generation, royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people… that we may proclaim the praises of Him who called us out of darkness (once being corrupted therein) and now being “born again” by incorruptible seed, the Word of God… that we need to regularly do a fruit check on ourselves, if I may call it that, so that we keep our solid and faithful commitment to being obedient to the Word, in order that we don’t carelessly attempt take our secure place among the brethren for granted… as did the five foolish virgins who were careless with their “oil level,” and missed the coming of the Bridegroom to get them. Mat 25:1-13 nkjv

And… let us also remember to keep things in balance:

“...when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, 5 not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, 6 whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.” titus 3:4-7 nkjv

Shalom... John
