Now would be a good time to “pray for the peace of Jerusalem…” Israel, internally, as we speak, is in a great uproar, and there are multiple outside entities (natural and spiritual) investing a great deal of capital in destructive activity to bring down Israel… causing the “Fig Tree” Nation of the Bible to come to the forefront of potential “End Times” events in real time.

If you have not been getting factual news concerning the happenings in Israel… I hope you will take some time to refocus your spiritual eyes and ears on this monumental issue, as your understanding of the days ahead will depend upon these events… for a quick overview of the last few days, watch this short 30 minute video for the inside scoop… I think the man presenting this information is credible, and he is a Christian Israeli who lives in Israel.

What do you think Yahweh considers when He sees the future of Israel?

“For as a young man marries a virgin, So shall your sons marry you; And as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, So shall your God rejoice over you. 6 I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; They shall never hold their peace day or night. You who make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent, 7 And give Him no rest till He establishes And till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.” Isa 62:5-7 nkjv

Yahweh never stops caring for Israel… remember, time as we know it, is like the flicker of a candle in His eyes… The “sons who marry Israel,” are the sanctified faithful who Yahweh will return to the land as His word promises… I think they are now being prepared for their appearance on the world stage. Yahweh is eternally faithful to His Word and to Israel.

The reason we need to understand the “Fig Tree” timepiece is that the central most important events of mankind are bound up in Israel’s destiny, and our “outside Israel” circumstances, conflicts, troubles and tribulations are only side-shows. However, Yahweh has given believers the “Fig Tree” timepiece for understanding the things that concern us. Paul used words like, “but we are not children of the night…” And, “I would not have you ignorant brethren…” If we don’t know the times and events of Yahweh’s Word… we will be “ignorant children of the night.” I know too many people who act as if they don’t care what is going on (on any important subject…). Causes me to recall the words of Yeshua… “as it was in the days of Noah.”

“For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, 39 and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.” mat 24:38-39 nkjv

I think the present unprecedented threats to Israel are profound… in the past, it was the “outside enemies” that wanted to erase Israel off of the map… a visible enemy, that all Israel could join together and defend the nation from… now, these outside enemies are watching for internal weakness and lack of a unified will (a house divided cannot stand, Yeshua said) and they are thirsting for blood.

To me, whatever is dangerous for Israel is likewise dangerous for us. We need to keep Israel in our prayers. Some Bible prophecy teachers think that the next “major” prophetic event concerning Israel will come at a Biblical Feast time… as I write this devotional, Passover is only 9 days away.
