"The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever; Do not forsake the works of Your hands.”ps 138:8 nkjv

March 29, 2022

Consider this… Yahweh [GOD] knows the depths of our thoughts (even from afar, He even knows them before we think of them); He designed and created each of us, unique individuals, the work of His hands… He is the “software engineer” or our minds, and He foresees the outcome of the motivations and intents of our hearts. He is the “ultimate” lie-detector, and to have a close and seriously honest and upright relationship with Him, we need to know He gives us his Word to “read us” when we read it… and by faithfully obeying it, we have peace and total contentment, and His blessing.

“For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.” heb 4:12-13 nkjv

David, in Psalms chapter 139, reveals wonderful characteristics of Yahweh and His dealings with us. The Bible tells us that David was a man after God’s own heart… so should we be.

“O Lord, You have searched me and known me. 2 You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off. 3 You comprehend my path and my lying down, And are acquainted with all my ways. 4 For there is not a word on my tongue, But behold, O Lord, You know it altogether. 5 You have hedged me behind and before, And laid Your hand upon me. 6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; It is high, I cannot attain it.” ps 139:1-6 nkjv

For a few verses, 139:7-12 nkjv, David explores the impossibility of being separated from Yahweh’s Spirit; in fact, a powerful understanding of security in our “redeemed” state… He goes on to say:

“For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. 14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well. 15 My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. 16 Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them. 17 How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them! 18 If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand; When I awake, I am still with You.” ps 139:13-18 nkjv

My word of encouragement to all of us, who believe the Bible is true, and that it is Yahweh’s divine and revealed plan of life for us, here and now… and in the world to come, is that we impregnate our minds with what Yahweh thinks about us, and says about us (His Word of Life), and like David “say with our mouths [verbal confession with a sincere and believing heart]” these same words that David wrote for our spiritual diet… bread of life, that once impregnated in our minds [hearts], will bear fruit according to the law of the harvest… fruit after its own kind. Yahweh’s Words are Spirit, Life everlasting to the faithful one trusting in His Word.

Shalom... John
