“Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or else make the tree bad and its fruit bad; for a tree is known by its fruit.”   mat 12:33 nkjv

April 26, 2022

“A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things. 36 But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. 37 For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.” mat 12:35-37 nkjv

I suggest we can surmise at least two things from Yeshua’s words here; first, the words justifying or condemning a man, first have their origin within the heart… secondly, human beings are [with their mouth/words] either building their heavenly abode, or otherwise building their eternal chamber of horrors, as they “verbalize” their heart’s condition. The resultant chain of motion energized by our words, chronicles our eternal destiny for good or for evil… Hebrew tradition holds that a book of life, for every man, bears record of all deeds lived by each man, that when reviewed by the Almighty, on the day of judgment, will actually define our eternal life with Yeshua, or everlasting torment in the lake of fire… there are no second place winners.

It would therefore seem that, knowingly or unknowingly, our heart’s outpouring needs careful management… which is why sanctification by the truth (Yahweh’s Word, jn 17:17 nkjv), is the seed planted into the good soil of our heart, as Yeshua teaches in the parable of the sower. It is very important that we be good “farmers” of the soil of our hearts…

The Parable of the Sower Explained

“And He said to them, “Do you not understand this parable? How then will you understand all the parables? 14 The sower sows the word. 15 And these are the ones by the wayside where the word is sown. When they hear, Satan comes immediately and takes away the word that was sown in their hearts. 16 These likewise are the ones sown on stony ground who, when they hear the word, immediately receive it with gladness; 17 and they have no root in themselves, and so endure only for a time. Afterward, when tribulation or persecution arises for the word’s sake, immediately they stumble. 18 Now these are the ones sown among thorns; they are the ones who hear the word, 19 and the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful. 20 But these are the ones sown on good ground, those who hear the word, accept it, and bear fruit: some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred.” mk 4:13-20 nkjv

While Yeshua is the sower, and that being His part, we are the caretakers, responsible for the condition of the soil of our hearts. Thankfully, the Word contains everything needed for producing its good fruit, and Yahweh has sent His Holy Spirit to “co-farm” the heart’s condition, with us, to bring in the harvest... one caveat, we must be in agreement with our farming partner.

How should we deal with these vital “crop instructions?”

Shalom… John
