Have you ever considered how the almighty creator of the Universe looks at us, and considers the thoughts of our hearts, and the concerns we get so troubled by? Or how He feels when we are careless with our thoughts and ways before Him… Here is what the Psalmist David has to say about that:

“O Lord, You have searched me and known me. 2 You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off. 3 You comprehend my path and my lying down, And are acquainted with all my ways. 4 For there is not a word on my tongue, But behold, O Lord, You know it altogether. 5 You have hedged me behind and before, And laid Your hand upon me. 6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; It is high, I cannot attain it.” Ps 139:1-6 nkjv

If we will give genuine and honest presence of mind to what Yahweh wants us to understand… that being clearly defined in His Holy Scriptures, and place our faith and confidence in His faithful governance of our lives and all that concerns us, we will begin to really appreciate what David expresses in the words above. Where else could we aspire to be that would favor us as much?

The writer of Hebrews says we are “open and naked in His Presence,” and that all our thoughts and plans are ever before His wise and caring eyes. To me that is a safety net, because it clearly cautions us from being afflicted by the most selfish enemy of our souls… our own fleshly minds and indulgent appetites that tempt us to foolishly go astray… think about it.

David goes on to say:

“Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? 8 If I ascend into heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there. 9 If I take the wings of the morning, And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, 10 Even there Your hand shall lead me, And Your right hand shall hold me. 11 If I say, “Surely the darkness shall fall on me,” Even the night shall be light about me; 12 Indeed, the darkness shall not hide from You, But the night shines as the day; The darkness and the light are both alike to You.” ps 139:7-12 nkjv

In this turbulent world, with so many uncertainties and disappointing experiences… we often think for a moment that we are awaking from a bad dream and it will soon go away… unfortunately, the opposite can be the fact, and as things get more unsavory, let us look into the mind of Yahweh (His Word) and see the world as He has created it to be for our favor… as he says here:

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” jer 29:11 nkjv These are the words Yahweh gave to Israel when they were being carried off to Babylonian captivity; He also told them they would one day be brought back. With Yahweh, thankfully, even the darkest moments are never able to overcome the future He has planned for His people.. being His people is what really matters!
