“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” jn 14:6 nkjv |
May 27, 2025 [No One] comes to the Father except through Me… What are the implications of these words that Yeshua spoke to His disciples? I think it means that [No] other representative can give us passage into Yeshua’s Salvation, audience with Yahweh so to speak. Including the Pope, a Pastor, an advocate of any persuasion; and yet we see so many religious doctrines disputing this absolute claim by our Savior Himself. It raises the question, do they read the Bible, do they take it seriously, and do they think it matters? Why is this so? If you read and study Chapters 14-17, of the New Testament Book of John, you will see Yeshua meticulously detailing the very purpose of His coming [Yahweh incarnate], in order to establish proper understanding for Yahweh's plan of redemption for all "whosoever will" come… Yeshua was with Yahweh [One] from before the foundation of he world. Jn 17:5 He also told them of the importance of the coming ministry of the Holy Spirit, who would come following His ascension [Pentecost/Shavuot, 50 days later]. “But now I go away to Him who sent Me, and none of you asks Me, ‘Where are You going?’ 6 But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart. 7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. 8 And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9 of sin, because they do not believe in Me; 10 of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; 11 of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.” jn 16:5-11 nkjv Yeshua also told them of their being chosen: “As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. 10 If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love. He also warned them that the world hated Him, because He was not of this world, and the world would likewise hate them… throw them out of the meeting places [Synagogues] and kill them while thinking they were doing God a favor, jn 16:2… I wonder “which” God they would think they were serving? Do you recall what He told the Pharisees concerning their “knowing” His Father? "How can you believe, who receive honor from one another, and do not seek the honor that comes from the only God? 45 Do not think that I shall accuse you to the Father; there is one who accuses you—Moses, in whom you trust. 46 For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me; for he wrote about Me. 47 But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?” jn 5:44-47 nkjv Note He says, “Moses, in whom you trust… But if you do not believe his writing, how will you believe My words?” To me, this is the same as modern religious doctrine that teaches what they call the Bible, yet they do not believe what is written in it, just saying. I do not say this to condemn other people’s thinking, just saying they have let men’s institutional teaching confuses the Bible’s writings, not unlike Yeshua telling the Pharisees they let their traditions make Yahweh’s word of none effect. mat 15:6. Notice how significant it is to know “which” vine you/we are attached to: “I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. 2 Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. 3 You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. 4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. I think there is a direct connection to the above warning, and the one where He says, “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!” Mat 7:21-23 nkjv Why do I think so… because if Yahweh [His Father] is the Vinedresser, then He does not accept “hybrid” branches outside of His Torah, which He forbids adding to or taking from, deut 4:2; note Yahweh discards “lawlessness,” which throughout the Bible applies to disobedience as a practice. To “practice” lawlessness, I think, is to dispute the authority of the Torah and “do your own thing.” I think trying to faithfully follow the footsteps of our Messiah Yeshua is to carefully read and understand the message He teaches in John chapters 14-17. Remember He said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” jn 14:6 nkjv My closing thought is that the world’s ways are always trying to invade our relationship with our Savior Yeshua… to draw us away from “abiding” in Him… what would cause you to trade temporal things that corrupt your soul and heart to the point you follow after “another Jesus,” instead of the only Biblical Jesus/Yeshua, who is your best friend, always faithful and longsuffering to keep us unto the day of redemption… for which He sent the Holy Spirit to comfort us in our walk. Consider the Apostle Paul’s admonition to the Ephesians: “For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light 9 (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), 10 finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. 11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. 12 For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. 13 But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light. 14 Therefore He says: “Awake, you who sleep, 15 "See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, 16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 17 Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.” eph 5:8-17 nkjv How will you know what the will of the Lord is? Only knowing Yeshua and His teachings will keep and save you from the certain destruction coming upon humanity... sooner than you probably think. Shalom, John |
