| “I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.” Ps 139:14 kjv |
May 4, 2021 What kind of conversation would we think of having with the God of the Universe…? Consider these thoughts and words of David, whom Yahweh said, "was a man after His own heart.” ”O lord, thou hast searched me, and known me. 2 Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off. 3 Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways. 4 For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O Lord, thou knowest it altogether. 5 Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me. 6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.” Ps 139:1-6 kjv After further deliberation concerning the always present and all-consuming power and envelopment of Yahweh’s love and concern for him, David goes on to say... “For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb. 14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. 15 My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. 16 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them. 17 How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them! 18 If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.” Ps 139:13-18 kjv David then turns his thoughts to the way of the wicked, and how he hates them, “with a perfect hatred,” because they are Yahweh’s enemies… then he says: “Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: 24 And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” It is my hope and prayer that you (we) can wrap our minds and hopes around this understanding and faith that David had in Yahweh (God), and how He created us for fellowship and unity with Him, and fellow believers; and that we place ourselves and all our destiny into His loving and capable hands, “in the way everlasting.” And like David, hate the wicked with a perfect hatred… as David says, "they are the enemies of God;" and they are real… all around us, in many different ways. We must not allow them to influence us or intimidate us, or confuse us as to who Yahweh created us to be… they may look like “people” but, Yeshua defined them as the sons of Belial, (wicked, lawless men) unsalvageable surrogates of the Devil, and determined to profane and defeat Yahweh’s faithful. Although we must discern the lost, from the wicked, and minister into their lives to help them find their way out of the pervading darkness now descending more densely upon humanity. Shalom… John |
