“Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here.” jn 18:36 nkjv |
July 29, 2025 There are two “kingdoms,” one is tangible/physical, natural, here and now; and the other is “here, in spirit,” but also now, but not yet. Yeshua [Jesus] had much to say about “kingdoms.” Yet so many who call themselves believers, don’t really give much thought to how important His teaching on this understanding really is. It is important to get the point, “now but not yet.” We mortals live in the now, and some of the things of both the spiritual and the natural are in play, simultaneously, and with the extended final conclusion yet not fully manifested… it is a promised and divine inheritance. Where did this “kingdom” plan come from… Yahweh’s [declared/spoken] WORD established both the natural and the spiritual; His WORD holds all things together… "He upholds all things by the WORD of HIS power," heb 1:3. It seems, by what Paul said, concerning the powers of spiritual wickedness in high places, that we so often miss the point that the dark cabal of evil seems to have control of our “natural” living space, you think? “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” eph 6:12 nkjv Yeshua said Satan was the “ruler” of this world, father of lies and the deceiver of mankind. Within the “realm” of this dual reality, its the spiritual powers that influence people and using their greed, selfishness, lust, and pride, he manipulates their pursuits. Yeshua knew all of this when He told His disciples… “But you [Yeshua’s disciples at His last supper, Passover meal] are those who have continued with Me in My trials. 29 And I bestow upon you a kingdom, just as My Father bestowed one upon Me, 30 that you may eat and drink at My table in My kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.” luk 22:28-30 nkjv Why was Yeshua telling Pilate about Him [Yeshua] being delivered to the Jews? Yet He also said “salvation” is of the Jews. Pilate said “your own nation” has delivered you up to me… what have you done? Note here that Pilate recognized that Yeshua WAS a “Jew.” “Jesus said to her, “Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when you will neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father. 22 You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews. 23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.” jn 4:21-23 nkjv I think because Yahweh begun His “family” [chosen people] with Abraham [a Syrian, deut 26:5 nkjv] who would later “become” a Jew by the covenant especially constructed by Yahweh, that Yeshua was referring to the “covenant work” of Yahweh, not just the “Jew” as a person. More on this later. This could perhaps be expanded upon on by other well thought out opinions. Perhaps this fits with what Paul said, “For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh; but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the Spirit, not in the letter; whose praise is not from men but from God.” rom 2:28-29 nkjv Furthermore, in His correction of the Pharisee's unfounded thinking, note this, “Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation; 21 nor will they say, See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.” luk 17:20-21 nkjv Where then should our focus be, spiritually or physically? I think we need to allow the sanctifying power of the Torah WORD to focus our perspective… and allow the Holy Spirit to open our spirit eyes so we can know the reality of a fake world’s confusion that continually attempts to hijack our thinking… The wheat and the tares Yeshua spoke of represents the two kingdoms… both here now, but in the harvest only the wheat will be brought into the king’s barn, the tares will be gathered up and burned in the fire. The “salvation” of the “Jews” would be, to me, the example lesson we would learn from their “proper and faithful” representation of Yahweh’s Torah lifestyle… which of course, they fumbled up badly… as it is yet the same problem with our society today. Yet, still, following their terrible example, He sent Yeshua to intervene in our sinful condition to save us from our faults, pride, disobedience, rebellious hearts and spiritually dead minds… such is the very core of the gospel. This Biblically presented plan was provided for all the “whosoever will” persons [by faith] to call upon the name of the LORD to be saved. When Yeshua said salvation is of the Jews… ?? I think He is referring to Yahweh’s plan using Abraham to establish HIS “people” and He placed them right in the center of the most spiritually hostile place on planet earth… why, because He wanted them [HIS people] to be the light of truth and salvation to every person on earth… nation, tribe, tongue, etc… Do you think it is the same for us “Christians” to be the light of the/our world? Yeshua came into the world during a great spiritual and societal struggle among the “Jews” during the later part of the second temple period… which ended when their internal conflicts provoked the Romans to destroy the temple [of Yeshua’s day, according to His predictions] in 70 AD. This time of conflict goes back to the Maccabees overthrowing the Seleucid powers [~167-160 BCE] who were desecrating the temple and persecuting the Jews religious practices. Josephus writes much about this in his historic records of that time. Later, in recent years, the discovery of the dead sea scrolls, and their testimony to the historic facts of that time [Josephus’s time], we glean much more about the inner cultural struggles among the Jews, Romans, and others. One of the main points I want to make related to this time, and what was happening, is contained in the article by Eddie Chumney, at [this link]. Regardless of what opinion you may have on his thoughts for which calendar is the best representation for the Biblical model, I think you will be considerably informed concerning the conflict Yeshua found Himself in when He came… I think it was the way Yahweh planned it. It is, I think, necessary to see this information and consider how much light it shines on Yeshua’s conflict with the religious authorities… and His connection to John the Baptist, who was likely a decedent of the Aaronic Priesthood… via the line of the Zadok Priest. When you read the first few chapters of the Book of Mark, you see some of these reflections, but if you miss this historic “spiritual” conflict in Jewish history, especially between Yeshua, and the Pharisees and the Sadducees, and their political/religious maneuverings, which are really not unlike today’s ideological and religious disputes that hinder the unity of people to follow Yeshua, especially those calling themselves believers, you will miss some of the patterns of the devil’s evil distortions of true Biblical facts. There is no doubt in my mind that the world we live in is becoming more convoluted by misinformation, deceitful pandering, purposed deceptions and more, that are at full on attack mode against Yahweh’s three divine institutions… sacred marriage/nuclear family, civil government order, and His body the church/congregation of saints… the devil’s evil spiritual plan is to corrupt and destroy the spiritual constructs of each of these, and thereby their natural and physical existence… this is what Paul teaches us about by being renewed in the spirit of our minds…. ONLY the Torah/Word can do that. It is what establishes and strengthens our Faith (rom 10:17), also a spiritual realm dynamic, that precedes natural realm attainment. We must understand the dual realm [kingdoms] we live in and that we must discern the two and how they need to be aligned according to what Yahweh established. Shalom, John |
“And the disciples came and said to Him, “Why do You speak to them in parables?” He answered and said to them, “Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given." Mat 13:11 nkjv |
