“The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork.” Ps 19:1 nkjv

August 3, 2021

The New King James Version, Bible, Psalms 19: 7-11 says:

7 "The law [Torah] of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul; The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple;

8 "The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes;

9 "The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; The judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.

10 "More to be desired are they than gold, Yea, than much fine gold; Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.

11 "Moreover by them Your servant is warned, And in keeping them there is great reward."

The declarations in the verses above are profound... especially how they impact our lives when we have appreciation for how Yahweh [GOD] has ordered the universe. Our relationship with Yahweh is through His WORD and with His "only begotten" Son, Yeshua [Jesus]. Furthermore, since Shavuot [Pentecost], we are blessed with the infilling of the Holy Spirit… the Spirit of Truth.

The Psalmist goes on to say, “Who can understand his errors? Cleanse me from secrete faults. Keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins…” ps 19:12-13a nkjv

Because of the Spirit of Yahweh that is in His Living Word, and the work of Yeshua by His indwelling Spirit in us, we can live the declarations above and benefit the “great reward.”

The rest of Psalms 19:13 reads: “Let [them] not have dominion over me. Then I shall be blameless, And I shall be innocent of great transgression.” Thankfully, the [them] issues are defeated by the truth of what Yahweh has declared and the working of His power in our lives. The Scripture says: “for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.” phil 2:13 nkjv

Shalom… John
